Pfff never. The mc22 has everything I like. The fact that it's gear driven timing and the comfort of the seating position, the way it handles, the power, the look, the everything is perfect. Except that it wont start.
But in all honestly if someone said "your stuck on lams for the rest of your life" id be like, don't care I have an mc22. Once again except that it wont start!!!! *waves fist*.

My guess is a faulty kill switch or side stand switch. Oh and just because a battery is showing 12 volts doesnt mean it has a high level of cranking amps in it. Rule the battery out before anything, and run the multimeter over the switchblock and sidestand to make sure the voltage changes when cranking. Its all good mate, only one way to learn, just jump in and have a crack.

Lot of people saying this could be battery related. So, Damus, any update on your testing...?

Ok charged battery fully, multy meter says its pulling 13.3 which i would think is good for my ssb lithium light weight.
100% there is no spark, I was ready for evil and stuck a bare screwdriver in the coil lead socket and put it near the engine (nothing).
Went for gold and held the end of the metal of the screw driver and the engine block and nothing.
There is 100% no spark going to the plugs.
When i try start it after fully charging the battery it spins that starter motor faster than you can say yo.

Check your pick up coils and your rh switch block , if your kill switch is dead, then the bike will still turn over, but no spark

I guess this is kind of a good thing really, we can rule out a few things now.
    CDI done...
    No spark 100%
    battery 13.31 vaults.

from here it will be multi meter tests from point to point.
    Ill check the pickup
    the coils
    ect
but I cant do that now in the dark.

well being that the mech wasnt lying about the spark he checked both pickup coils already and showed me on the multi meter a few days back.

    whats the RH switch block?
I think due to rain I should be looking at the kill switch if what your saying is true.

You can, but they are there for safety reasons.

Right hand side switch block. Contains starter button, kill switch, and probably throttle cables (unless separate)

Try some electrical contact/solvent cleaner from Jaycar. Take apart the switch block, spray the bejesus out of the switch and contacts, and flick it on/off a number of times.

kiffsta is right i had to run down stairs and check for my self. the kill switch makes no different's to me being able to use the starter motor. 100% my money is on the kill switch. I actually stopped the mechanic from checking that previously because i didnt think it worked like that.

nup no dice on kill switch. I see how it works, i cleaned it and even tried to use some metal to help jump it and it looks pretty straight forward. but still no dice.
Murphy is really out to push me to the limit on this one.

You say the coils were tested. Are you still getting no spark?

It was hard to know what the mech tested for certain due to the dark and the fact that he was a "know it all".
Lets just say he was the type of dude where I mentioned the word forum and he said everyone is a scientoligist.
He tested roughly 6-8 connections with a multimeter and said its 95% the cdi.
But so far everything he said hasnt been incorrect so far, its just not right so to speak.
    *scratches head*

Have you pulled apart your side stand switch / bridged it? My switch on the fzr 250 was buggered the other week. Would turn over but no spark. Just kick it down and see if the bike still turns over. It could be crap on the contacts in the switch. Thats all mine was, as it attracts a lot of road grime.

    ** Upadte **
With help from Kiffsta we were able to confirm/isolate the following.

No Spark (with or without spark plug) from coil lead
    CDI replaced

    Multimeter tests so far
    Pickup coil/generator: 0.41 ohms
Reg/Rec: Diodes checked all working well
    Battery: 13.31 volts

    ------------------------------

    Things left to check/try

    bipass/replace RH switch block
Check ignition coils are within spec (unlikely the cause)
180kph speed limiter (unlikely but possible failure from the speedo) 330k resistor mod workaround at CDI.
    check all fuses again
    Jump start battery
    ......

After that I am just gonna call it a day and hang my self.

Have you checked the side stand switch mate. Check basic things before you worry about speed limiters and such.

the side stand light works, and it should bypass it in nuetral anyway. it is a posibility though, im not ruling it out.
